I reserved a book that I needed for my assignment. I only received the book almost a month later when the assignment was due. I think the library should be stricter with reserved books. Make people return books on time if the book is reserved.

We Replied

I am sorry that you did not receive your reservation in time. In an effort to keep stock circulating and to keep reservations low we usually have a variety of loan periods for books - i.e. weekly loan & 4 week loan. In addition to this once a reservation has been placed on a title anyone currently borrowing the book cannot renew it for a further period, we rely on students to return books on time which did happen in this case. I will pass your comments on to the relevant subject librarian and ask them to review the number of copies and the types of loan periods for that title.
